📦 Shipping

How long does shipping take?

Orders ship same-day from Oakville, Ontario when placed before 2 PM EST, Monday to Friday. Canadian orders typically arrive in 2–3 business days. US orders arrive in 3–5 business days. International orders take 5–8 business days depending on destination and customs.

Do you offer free shipping?

Yes. Shipping is free on Canadian orders over $99 CAD and US orders over $75 USD. Below those thresholds, a flat shipping fee is calculated at checkout based on your location.

Where do you ship from?

Every JAIDA order ships from Oakville, Ontario, Canada.

Do you ship to the United States?

Yes. We ship to all 50 US states with delivery in 3–5 business days. US orders over $75 USD ship free. Any applicable duties and taxes are calculated at checkout so there are no surprises at delivery.

Do you ship internationally?

Yes, we ship worldwide. International delivery times vary by country (typically 5–8 business days). Customs duties and import taxes may apply and are the responsibility of the recipient.

How do I track my order?

You'll receive a tracking link by email as soon as your order ships. If you don't see it within 24 hours of placing your order (excluding weekends), check your spam folder or email customercare@jaida.ca and we'll resend it.

My tracking hasn't updated. What should I do?

Tracking sometimes takes 24–48 hours to show the first scan after pickup. If your tracking hasn't moved after 2 business days, email us with your order number and we'll investigate with the carrier immediately.


💕 Returns & Exchanges

What is your return policy?

We offer free 30-day returns on all unworn, unwashed hijabs in original condition. We send you a prepaid return label so you don't pay a cent to send it back. Refunds are processed to your original payment method within 5–7 business days of us receiving the return.

How do I start a return?

Email customercare@jaida.ca with your order number. We'll send you a prepaid return label within 24 hours. Drop the package at any Purolator location and we'll handle the rest.

Can I exchange instead of return?

Yes. If you'd like a different print, color, or fabric, let us know in your return email. We'll send the replacement as soon as we receive your return, and ship it free either way.

Are returns really free?

Yes. We cover the return shipping label so you take zero risk trying JAIDA.

How long do refunds take?

Once your return arrives, we inspect it within 1 business day. Refunds are issued to your original payment method and typically appear in your account within 3–5 business days, depending on your bank.

What if my order arrives damaged or wrong?

Email us a photo at customercare@jaida.ca within 7 days of delivery. We'll send a replacement immediately at no cost to you — you don't need to return the original.


📏 Sizing & Fit

What size are JAIDA hijabs?

Our chiffon, satin and modal cotton hijabs measure 200cm × 70cm (approximately 79" × 27.5"). This gives you generous coverage to wrap 2–3 times comfortably with multiple styling options.

Is 200cm × 70cm enough coverage?

Yes for full chest coverage, draping past the chest, and wrapping multiple times.

Are JAIDA hijabs see-through?

Our chiffon hijabs are opaque when layered (the natural way most sisters style chiffon). Our modal cotton and satin hijabs are fully opaque on their own. For the highest coverage with chiffon, we recommend pairing with our Inner Silk Underscarf.

Do I need an underscarf?

It depends on the fabric and your styling preference. Most sisters wear an underscarf with chiffon for extra grip and modesty. Modal cotton and satin can be worn with or without one. The Inner Silk Underscarf is our #1 seller for a reason — it keeps everything in place without adding bulk.


🧵 Fabric & Care

What fabrics do you offer?

Three premium fabrics: lightweight chiffon (everyday luxury with a beautiful drape), modal cotton (buttery-soft, breathable, low-slip for all-day wear), and satin (refined shine for special occasions and elevated styling).

How do I wash my JAIDA hijab?

Hand wash in cold water with a gentle detergent. Lay flat to dry. Do not wring, bleach, or tumble dry. A cool iron on the reverse side restores the drape if needed. Treated this way, your hijab is made to last years, not months.

Do JAIDA chiffon hijabs slip?

Our chiffon has a matte finish (not the slippery satin-chiffon you'll find on cheaper hijabs) so it grips naturally. For sisters who want zero movement, we recommend pairing with our Inner Silk Underscarf and/or magnetic hijab pins.


🛒 Orders & Payment

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept all major credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express), Apple Pay, Google Pay, Shop Pay and Paypal. All payments are processed through Shopify's secure checkout.

Can I change or cancel my order after placing it?

Because we ship same-day, the window to modify or cancel is short. Email customercare@jaida.ca immediately with your order number and the change you need. If your order hasn't shipped, we'll do everything we can to update it.

Do you offer discount codes?

New sisters get 10% off their first order — just sign up to our email list at the bottom of the homepage. We share occasional collection drops, seasonal offers, and Eid promotions through our email and Instagram (@myjaida).

Do you include a gift with every order?

Yes. Every JAIDA order arrives with a complimentary gift, tissue-wrapped packaging, and a care card. We pack every order like it's going to our own sister.

Can I order a hijab as a gift?

Absolutely. Add a note at checkout and we'll include a handwritten message. Shipping to a different address than the billing address is supported at checkout.

Where is JAIDA based?

JAIDA is a Canadian luxury hijab brand based in Oakville, Ontario. Every order is packed and shipped from our studio. We're a small team — by hijabis, for hijabis.

Is JAIDA an authentic Muslim-owned brand?

Yes. JAIDA was founded by hijabi women who were tired of settling for thin, slippery, or overpriced hijabs. Every print, fabric weight, and detail is chosen by women who wear hijab themselves.

What does "Where Art Meets Modesty" mean?

Our prints are designed to feel like wearable art — botanical, geometric, and culturally-inspired motifs that you won't find anywhere else. Each collection (Heritage, Bloom, Noir, Palestine, Atelier, Satin) tells its own story.
